Data Scientist – AI/ML (NLP Specialisation)

Our client is a fast-growing global SaaS company with a flagship AI-powered enterprise platform used by Fortune 500 companies across 40 countries. Their Hyderabad AI Centre of Excellence is the global hub for all machine learning research and product AI — and they are looking for a Data Scientist with deep NLP expertise to join this team.

About the Role

You will work on cutting-edge NLP and large language model (LLM) applications that power the company's core product intelligence features — from intelligent document processing and semantic search to conversational AI and predictive analytics. This is a research-meets-engineering role with direct product impact.

• Build and deploy NLP models for intelligent document processing and information extraction
• Develop and fine-tune LLM-based applications using RAG and prompt engineering
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate AI into core platform features
• Design and run experiments to evaluate model performance and drive improvements
• Publish research findings and represent the company at AI conferences

• 3-6 years of hands-on data science / ML engineering experience
• Strong expertise in NLP — text classification, NER, summarisation, semantic search
• Experience working with LLMs — fine-tuning, RAG architectures, prompt engineering
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries (PyTorch, Hugging Face, scikit-learn)
• Experience with MLOps — model deployment, monitoring, and versioning
• Strong understanding of statistics and machine learning fundamentals
• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field preferred
