Assistant Manager / Manager - Human Resources

We are hiring a dynamic and proactive Assistant Manager / Manager – HR for a premier urban planning and infrastructure design firm based in Ahmedabad. This individual will be on the direct payroll of the organization while working under the guidance of and reporting directly to the HR Consultant.

1. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Manage end-to-end recruitment process for urban planners, architects, GIS specialists, engineers, and administrative staff.
2. HR Operations & Administration: Oversee daily HR functions, attendance, leave management, and employee records maintenance. *
3. Employee Engagement & Culture: Plan and execute engagement activities to build a collaborative, high-performance work environment.
4. Performance Management System (PMS): Assist in driving appraisal cycles, setting KPIs/KRAs, and tracking performance evaluations.
5. Policy Implementation: Implement and enforce company HR policies, compliance practices, and workplace guidelines.
6. Learning & Development: Coordinate training programs to support professional development across specialized technical teams.
7. Reporting & Coordination: Serve as the primary operational liaison with the HR Consultant for strategic initiatives and reporting.

Education: MBA / Master’s Degree in Human Resources or related discipline.

Experience: 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in HR generalist and talent acquisition roles (experience in professional services, AEC, architecture, or urban development consultancies is a plus).

Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; proficient in HRMS tools and MS Office.
